Regulatory Compliance Training
and Testing:
There are currently a number of states and Federal mandated
training programs that a fire department must comply with.
Confined Space Services Inc. provides this training using
universally accepted training and testing programs and
methods. Areas of required training that we specialize in
include:
Infectious Control/Blood Borne Pathogen Training- This
program teaches firefighters how to minimize their
exposure to potentially infectious body fluids. In
addition the program reviews a Fire Departments
Infectious Control Program for completeness and
accuracy.
Hazard
Communication/Right to Know- This program teaches
Firefighters the importance of identifying potentially
hazardous materials found in the fire station as well as
the fire ground.
Respirator Fit Testing- The Federal Occupational Health
and Safety Administration requires all users of
respirator facemasks to be tested annually to make sure
no air leaks are found in the respirator. Using a
nationally accepted testing method, Confined Space
Services, Inc. will test all respirator users for proper
respirator fit and provide a computer-generated report.
HazMat
Awareness and Operational Levels – The Federal
Occupational Health and Safety Administration require
all emergency responders to be trained to both the
Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operational Levels.
Using certified instructors with a nationally recognized
training program, Confined Space Services, Inc. helps
fire departments meet this requirement.
Fire Department Drill Programs:
Fire Departments, by their nature require constant
exercising of their member’s skills. This usually takes
place during a weekly or department meet their training
needs by designing a training program that either the fire
department’s training officers can implement or certified
instructors from Confined Space Services, Inc. can provide.
In addition, specialized classes are offered on a one-time
basis.
Fire Department Operations Consulting:
Utilizing many years of experience and education, Confined
Space Services, Inc. can provide a fire department with a
comprehensive evaluation of both their administrative and
operations divisions. Using national standards, a review and
corrective action program can be designed to help a fire
department reach its maximum potential.
